I’m finishing off my Root3 (finally) and just awaiting delivery of the Root controller ISO and better stepper drivers.
I had a couple of questions re. end stops:
I wired up the limit switches yesterday using the NO pin without really thinking. Is any clear guidance that I should be using NC over NO? (I get the theory, but is there a clear direction suggested?)
What’s the best position for the Z axis limit switches - use the provisions in the spindle mount brackets (I can’t actually find an example of anyone using these in my search) or mount them at the top/bottom of the carriage?
Finally, wiring up the DB9 connector, do the cable shields need to be connected as well? So thats all the NO (or NC) pins mapped to individual pins, all the COM switch pins combined to a single DB9 pin, and all the shields combined to another DB9 pin?
