Power-on cycle for Root Controller ISO 3 and Huanyang VFD controller

With my previous controller I got into the habit of switching on the Huanyang VFD only when I was about to start machining, doing the tool and zero coordinate setup with the VFD controller off.

I note that in the FluidNC docs on spindles http://wiki.fluidnc.com/en/config/config_spindles under the section on Huanyang (RS485) that the advice is

It is important that the VFD is fully powered on before the the ESP32 is powered on. Some take several seconds before they are ready to communicate. Do not power cycle the VFD when the ESP32 is on. It may interrupt the communications and cause problems.

If the Root Controller and VFD controller are on the same power switch it is almost inevitable that the Root controller will be up and running before the VFD controller.

What is your experience with the power on sequence? Is it necessary to boot the VFD before the Root controller?

Ive had no issues when powering the controller from the same power switch. Typically Fludinc takes a few moments to boot. Ie connecting to Wi-Fi. Ive not come across any issues at all.

Whilst that comment is very clear, ive personally not had any issues.

Ive been using a Huanyang VFD and Siemens V20 VFD.
