I’ve got the recommended Stepper motors and driver setup.
https://www.omc-stepperonline.com/cnc-kit/4-axis-cnc-router-kit-3-0-nm-425oz-in-nema-23-stepper-motor-and-driver-and-power-supply.html
(Nema 23 with DM542Y and 36V 11A power supply)
What pins should i have set on the drivers for current and reve/pulse?
Also when setting up the software what is the approx steps/mm so that I can make sure i’m in the right ballpark.
Cheers,
Iain
Iain,
Here is the settings I’ve used on my driver:
Wiring wise:
You can do either of the highlight figures with the Arduino or ESP32.
Please note - in these configurations, it WILL stress the controllers output circuity as they’re not designed to work with those current demands and processor IC package current. Granted these configuration work and heck, I’ve been using like this from an Arduino too but I would put my money on the driver lasting the test of time!
Software configuration:
I’ll need to double check, but I’ve found this website handy:
Hope that helps
