Hi Folks, new here
spent the morning poking around for more info on wiring the remote button/probe to the root controller.
best i could find was this line: “The inputs which are used for “start”, “hold” and “macro” do have a different connector, so please take note of the difference in wiring.”
yes I looked at the video too, but that just links back to the Shop page
where can I find information on the wiring, or for that matter, the pushbuttons/led drives used?
I will apologize in advance if my noob-ism prevented me from seeing the obvious
Hi,
I assume you’ve got a Root controller too?
If so, its all software definable. just enough you’ve connected to the relevant signal on the corresponding connector.
You’ll end up with 2 connectors with only one wiring going to it and the third connector with all three populated (for Power and GND)
Thanks Pete
When i wrote the msg, i did not have the controller yet, was in the mail.
I assumed at the time it had its own connector that i could not find.
Also looking at the 4 light version.
Whilst looking for the aluminium (aluminum for our usa friends) ball screw holder, i found that for the 1204 size the width can vary beteeen 30 and 40 mm!!!
Using your included Spacer STL file the center would horizontally move. I scratched my head till i realized the ballscrew has to be over the center of the guide rails, so half the width of the carriage.
Now it was simply measring the alu block and adjusting the Z extrusion height in the slicer to accomodate the gap.
Did not see this in the docu, but others may be getting various alu blocks with varying widths and not realize, so might be a tip to permanently include in the Docu, maybe in the stl directory.
Just passing this along
