Finally had some time (and parts) to put into my root 3 build and realised I actually only have 3 Nema 23s on hand, so I’m one short.
I had these steppers lying about unused, but the exact model doesn’t seem readily available anymore, or the few places that have them available singularly are crazy expensive with postage (like $200 for one stepper).
There are plenty of newer similar specced models available though (like the ones linked in the BOM) for much less cash.
So question is, could I just use one of a different type and just rely on calibration to make up for any differences?
It would make sense that the 2 y-axis steppers should be identical, but maybe e.g the z-axis could be slightly different?
